Hello!
My name is Astrid and I currently live in Arkansas (enter obligatory "GO HOGS" statement here). My husband and I have lived all over the U.S.A. in the 7 years we have been married (4 states across the country and countless of addresses) but are born and raised Californians. We are both traveling gypsies at heart and never turn down an opportunity for adventure. Recently, we tried our hand at simplifying by downsizing our living quarters and moving into a 39' travel trailer/camper. That was quite a feat!
Through our travels we have come to acquire many different hobbies and tastes, I have always liked sewing, especially for Renaissance Faires and plays, etc., but it wasn't until I had my firstborn son, Zhane, that I discovered my interest in sewing baby items, particularly cloth diapers. I developed and perfected my pattern through much trial and error, and now with my daughter, I am beginning to venture into the world of tulle, pinafores, bows and ruffles!
Unfortunately, I am very new to the world of pattern making and actually having to explain in ACTUAL words what I am doing as I craft or sew. What that means for you, my young cricket, is that my tutorials and patterns may not be as professional or complete as purchased patterns. But I have faith in you, and I love the idea that you will take my ideas and run with them, transform them into whatever you like when the moment of inspiration hits you.
Feel free to email or contact me if you have any questions or suggestions, or complaints. :)
